Kangana Ranaut is an Indian actress and film producer. She was born in Bhambla, Himachal Pradesh, on March 20, 1987. She moved to Delhi at the age of 16 to pursue a career as a model. Afterwards, she joined DAV Model School Sector 15 in Chandigarh to pursue her higher studies. Since then, her acting career has flourished, earning her three National Film Awards, including Best Supporting Actress for the 2008 movie Gangster.

 

While she was still unsure about her career choice, she was spotted by the Elite Modelling Agency. Her looks caught the attention of the modeling agency and she was signed up by the company. Soon, she made her film debut in the Deepak Shivdasani-directed I Love You Boss. In 2006, her agent took her to Mahesh Bhatt’s office and gave her first big break with the romantic thriller Gangster.
